I came across your web site by accident--I was searching for information on Miralax, which my pediatrician has just put my 4 month old daughter on. But only a sentence or two into Amanda's story I was in tears... the weight and the pain your family must bear is unimaginable, and my heart breaks for you. Hello My name is Jenna, and I am inspired by Amanda's story, and her smile. I was born with a rare severe genetic bone disease, which the doctors say is life threatening, and so far I am the only one that has had a rare type of this disease and i am still surviving it, and I am going to continue to keep fighting. Amy and Scott, I just met your brother, Kerry and sister in law, Ellen, in Highlands at Half-Mile Farm. I am Conner Riggs grandmother. He died three years ago on April 19, 2002. He would have been three on July 13. He was born with sma 1 and our story was pretty much like yours and other sma families. My daughter, Betsey, was a very brave, loving, selfless mother, as are all the others. We adored our little man and miss him very much.
