Hi, I'm Anna's Grandpa Warren. Step Grandfather, actually. I couldn't love Anna any more if she were my own child.

For only two years, she is exceptionally verbal. I say that with some authority having 5 children and 10 grandchildren. She has a particularly good nature and quick sense of good humor. However, don't try to get a response out of her while she is watching Blues' Clues or Clifford.

My heart sinks at the thought of what difficulties may lie ahead for Anna. Every cold, every illness is a potential atom bomb for her. I hope the research brings some real relief soon.

I am very impressed by all the help and assistance that is available for people like Anna. Her mother is very aggressive and persistent in finding and demanding the best services available for Anna. She regularly travels, with Anna and Will her brother of 11 months, between New Jersey, Maryland our home, and Texas seeking the best care she can find for Anna. Her mother is a saint.

If you can find it in your heart to spare a few dollars, the SMA makes very efficient use of all donations by supporting research into this horrible disease.

Hi Laura and Anna!!! I love the web site of Anna!! I know having a daughter with SMA is quite a journey. Lindsey was diagnosed with SMA at fourteen months old, and we too had to pick out a wheelchair for her second birthday. I know we will have a cure soon. Maybe someday our girls will walk together hand in hand. Until then Lindsey has changed my life in the most positive and inspirational way. I will talk with you soon Laura!!! Laura, What a nice web page. We were unable to make it to the conference this year. Hopefully next. Satori has recently received a mini go-bot, which she really enjoys. We won't be getting a regular chair for a few months. Our insurance did approve a power stander (the go-bot) and a power chair. We are very lucky. We just got home from a vacation to Yellowstone. Tori had a blast! She is doing wonderfully. She is (as i'm sure Anna is) REALLY bright. People are amazed that she isn't even two yet. I have recently taken on the newsletter for our local (N. California) chapter and we are getting ready for a big fundraiser in Oct. Well, we have much unpacking to do! It was nice to hear from you.

Jenna and I met you, Anna, Will and your father (I hope I have that right) at Scottish Rite Hospital last spring. Anna reminds me so much of Jenna. Jenna too was in a wheelchair at age two and life and our house (some remodeling has been done by Jenna..... like holes....)haven't been the same since. Your website is wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with us.The Jerry Lewis Telethon is coming up. Are you involved in that? Jenna is the state good will ambassador for Texas and every year we hope, pray and dream this will be our last telethon. Hope and these prcious children like Jenna and Anna is what keeps us going. Anna is very fortunate to have such agressive parents and I know she will be bring you years of happiness. Hope to run into you again sometime in Dallas.
