To all the Friends of Nathan, Diana, Annabelle and Linnea: Nancy and I (Nate's parents) have been blessed beyond measure as we have witnessed the incredible love, friendship and support of so many new people in their lives. Over these past few months the special demonstrations of support from many of you will be exciting and encouraging memories for all of us. Already, the many ways in which you have shown care has provided hope and encouragment for a sometimes-discouraged young couple. THANKS for your input into their lives. Nancy and I are privileged to have the whole gang with us here in our new home in Alexandria, VA. I guess we are now part of the Boomerang Children Phenomena! That's fine with us because we are truly having fun entering into some special Grandparent moments and a fresh adult relationship with Nathan and Diana. They are doing a wonderful job caring for their girls and every day offers new ways to learn something from God...and each other. Keep up your contact with them...it's encouraging to all of us! Blessings, Doug and Nancy Lee

I am so glad I met Linnea. She made my day when she learned to squeeze Nemo's fin to make him talk. And she "talked" right back. Her nurse was so pleased that tears were streaming down her face. When I asked Linnea if she wanted me to move Nemo away from her view of the TV, she closed her eyes tight like we had practice for "no!" She had made a new friend! --Cathie Cummins, PT

Diana, you can't get Nathaniel to shave? well, he does look better with all that hair hiding his face. good thing the girls take after their mother!! i feel for you so much. if ever i felt down or tired or stressed i would think of you and your commitment as a family and my troubles would disapate in the wind. if ever i felt joy or happiness i could think of you and know that you share in ultimate bliss as a family bonded by this child. what a blessing; something that only you can know as nobody else could bear this burden. your reward is eternal. be strong, laugh, sing and play like children because life is short. christopher

Dear Dianna, Linnea's website address was forwarded to me through our church email, we have been praying for you for months, but it was just yesterday as I browsed through your page that I realized you & Nate are so young, just like my husband and me. We also have two precious daughters, ages 2 & 1 and I have been praying for you almost constantly since I heard your news yesterday, my motherly heart wants to reach across the miles and hug you & cry with you, even as I'm crying for you now and aching for you in this loss. I know our God is pouring out His grace in your life but I will be praying for you "that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith--that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." (Eph 3:16f)I am rejoicing with you in our God "who never wastes a single hurt you will endure, My words are true My promises are sure. I am with you. I am for you." (Steven Curtis Chapman "Believe in Me") Isn't our God's love an ocean and a mountain and a diamond? I'm praying for you. Your Sister in Christ, Faith

Dear Nathaniel, Diana, and Annabelle, You don't know us, but we have the same Father God. It's obvious you love Him very much and that He's been giving you so much strength and the peace that passes understanding. I Carin)have been praying for you ever since my sister brought your website to my attention on the 22nd. You see, my sister's name is Linnea, and God led her to your website just the day after your precious little one went home to be with Him. She sent the site to several people she knew would pray for you. Of course we were all deeply moved by your story and challenged by the faith you demonstrated throughout such a grueling ordeal. Reading about you all was especially poignant for me because my husband and I have been asking God for children for some time now, and for a couple years I've been hoping for a little that we could name Linnea Grace in honor of my sister who led me to a knowledge of the saving grace of God. I don't know if God will grant that desire of our hearts, but know that if He does, we will be sure to share with our Linnea Grace about your Linnea Grace, so beautiful, brave, and sweet. We will continue to pray for you in the days ahead. The Lord brings you to mind often and our hearts hurt and rejoice with you. “I will extol Thee, my God, O King; And I will bless Thy name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. On the glorious splendor of Thy majesty, And on Thy wonderful works, I will meditate. And I will tell of Thy greatness. The Lord is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in loving kindness. The Lord is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works. The Lord sustains all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to Thee, And Thou dost give them their food in due time. Thou dost open Thy hand, And dost satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways, And kind in all His deeds. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and save them. The Lord keeps all who love Him. Psalm 145 Your brother and sister in Christ, Joel and Carin Meerdink

Dear Nathaniel and Diana, How blessed we were to be apart of today's celebration of Linnea's "Graduation". I especially enjoyed the slides of her life. A peek into her life and the lives of those who loved her. It helped us to know her a little better. His Grace and Peace to you. Terry Bittenbender

Dear Nate, Diana, and Annabelle, Doug and Nancy, our hearts break for you in your loss, for you have truly lost a precious one from your midst. Sometimes words cannot soothe or help, so I'm praying that when no words can ease the sorrow, God will hold you tight. Be tender with each other. I'm sorry there were so many miles between us, and I never met sweet Linnea. As a mother, I'm thankful for all the pain Linnea is spared. As a mother, I weep for your loss. We do look forward to seeing your dear Linnea, and our sweet Reese Anne, in heaven, where every tear is wiped away. We keep you in our prayers. We all love you. If we can be of any support to you, please don't hesitate to contact us. My personal number is 703-822-0877. In Christ Love, Melisa Searcy

Dear Nathan, Diana, and Annabelle, Words cannot express my sorrow for you all as you go through this very difficult time. I am a friend of Autumn's, Nathan's cousin. I have been praying for you and will continue to do so. You have a beautiful family, and Linnea, what a little precious she "is". I use present tense because I know where she is and I know she is alive and well with Jesus! Thank you for putting together this website. It was a blessing to read through it. Dear Sweet Lee Family, Our hearts ache with you as you miss your angel, Linnea. Our souls rejoice in her new perfection in the presence of our Lord. Many thoughts and prayers are with you in your sorrow. "...to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion -- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." (from Isaiah 61) Praying that God will hold you steadfast in His faithful love and that you will continue to radiate His grace and glory in this broken and hurting world until that day of glad reunion in heaven. -- Dan and Grace Swartz and family, Carriage Lane PCA, Peachtree City, GA

I never had the pleasure of meeting little Linnea, but I know that she is surrounded by a host of love. Her Great-grandpa, Emery, is loving her to pieces and her great-uncle, Edgar, is rocking her and singing Swedish, just as he did to his own grand-children. She has so much family on the other side and the Lord to hold her hand. Our prayers are with the family as they mourn Linnea, but one day, we'll all be together and see Linnea and the babies that we have lost over the years. Ron & Sandy Peterson

Nathan and Diana, It's October first and I've just read your accounts of Linnea's final hours with you. The way you comforted Linnea and had the courage to let her go when she no longer had the stamina to enjoy her rides, play in the tub or spend time in your arms showed judgment and maturity. And the depth of your faith, esp.in a time of tragedy and loss, is remarkable. I wish that I could have parti-cipated in the memorial service on Saturday. If you do have a video made, I'd very much like to see it. My deepest sympathy, Dr. Powell

Nathan, This is Leslie Smith (Whitman) from Landmark. I saw you at Harkey's wedding and you gave me this website address. Today, Oct. 4th is the first time I've looked at it even though I've considered doing it multiple times. I'm sorry to hear of your sweet loss- she was a beautiful girl from looking at the pictures. You'll be in my prayers during this hard time. It's great to see you rejoicing for her sake as well though. It is such a comfort to know she's in the best of hands now. God bless you and your family. In Christ, Leslie Smith

Dear Nathan, Diana & Annabelle, Our hearts go out to you. We were heartbroken to hear of Linnea's passing. Our prayers are with you. We will NEVER forget Linnea's beautiful spirit and her perseverance and strength. We will also think of you whenever difficult times come to us simply because in you we witness the "sufficiency of Christ" that the New Testament talks so much about. Your steadfast faith has been a blessing and encouragement to so many. We'll pray during the next weeks and months, when you need it the most, that His power will continue to be "made perfect" in you. God Bless your family! With Love, Matt, Lauren, Karly and Daniel Barthels - Leadville, CO.

Nate & Diana: Thanks for sharing this with the rest of us. It was great to see you, thanks for your hospitality to me. May the Lord give you healing everyday, just a little bit more and a little bit more, and fill you with hope in believing. I know the pain is real and the hurt is deep, but not deeper than the love of Jesus which is like a mighty ocean, underneath me, all around me. May you feel it! Randy Nabors

Dear Diana and Nathaniel, I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet daughter. I have thought about her many times since you moved from Denver and I am heartbroken for you all. Prayer is the only way and knowing she is your angel in heaven doesn't soften the pain, but she will watch over all of you. I found your site tonight on a fluke and was moved by the contents of your hard work. Thank you for sharing her with us. I know your pain unfortunately all to well. This is Nancy Collyer, I remember you from the Ronald McDonald House, where I met your beautiful family and knew you for such a short time. I am Anne Marie's mom. She was that very verbal baby in the kitchen that was waiting for a heart transplant. We waited for 4 months and she did get that miracle transplant on July 24th, 4 days after her 1st birthday. She did very well with some complications and a slight rejection in August. We were cleared to come home to Montana 8 months after being in Denver. She was doing so well and had just had a clean check up on Dec. 20th at the cardiologist in Billings. When I went in the next morning to wake her for the weekly blood draw she wouldn't wake. Her heart had stopped and she wasn't breathing. I did CPR until the medics got there but it was too late. There were no symptoms..no nothing. We too are faithful and know she is with Jesus, but as you two well know, our girls are not with us in our home anymore and it is a great loss. Just know you are not alone and we will pray for all of you. I know your lives have been so focused on Linnea. Even more so than our's was on Anne. God Bless you and thank you for letting me leave a message of love and hope. Peace, Nancy Collyer

Nate and Diana, Glad to hear that everything is going well for you. I hope the new job is treating you well and you're doing all kinds of neat things, Nate. Diana, I'm sure the pregnancy is going great and you look beautiful, as usual, with an extra glow added in. I miss seeing you both. Hopefully we can get together next time I'm in town. I'm moving to Alabama after graduation for flight school which starts at the end of July. I can't wait to be a grown up! Take care and God bless.

I found your site through 91.9 radio site. What an powerful site you have. I have 2 girls - Jessie 5 and Allie 2 and am so overcome in sorrow for your family. Reading your blog I've drenched my keyboard with tears. I have recently found the Lord and as I read the blog I had the radio station music playing, listening to the music while immersed in your story and the beautiful lives of your daughters. I can only invision Linnea in heaven looking down at your other earthly angels. My prayers go to you and your family to remain strong during these trials that few can even imagine.
