Hello Everyone!

Guess What?  I just celebrated my first birthday on June 11, 1999!  What a joyous and eventful day it was for me and my friends and family.  Some really good friends of ours made me a beautiful cookie bouquet with balloon shaped cookies to give to everyone.  My mom got me a special little bitty birthday cake so I could eat some icing.  We had punch to drink...yum!

Our porch was decorated with lots and lots of balloons and at 5:20 p.m. I turned a whole bunch of them loose to fly up in the air because that was the time I was born a year ago!

We had open house from 4-7 p.m. so folks came to see me during those hours.  I got lots of neat gifts.  I just sat in my chair in my pretty birthday dress that my great-grandmothers gave me, and enjoyed opening my gifts (with the help of mommy).
