Remembering Spirit: Did you know that the name Casey means "Brave"? FEAR THOU NOT; FOR I AM WITH THEE: BE NOT DISMAYED; FOR I AM THY GOD: I WILL STRENGTHEN THEE; YEA, I WILL HELP THEE. Isaiah 41:10 Casey "Brave" The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of troubles; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. Nahum 1:7 "Angel of Life" adopted 1/4/00 "Hope" by Dorothy O'Connor I went out to my garden this chilly winter day. I went out to my garden. I went out there to pray.
Beneath my feet the ground was cold and slumbered through its night.
It fit my mood, this winter day, for I was somber too. I prayed to God above to help all those in need I knew.
So many need Your help today. So many hearts are bending Beneath the weight of sorrow and problems never-ending.
Life seems cold and lonely and the future bleak with rime. Winter settles in our hearts, no matter what the time.
Hope needs and waves at us from such a distant place. We feel forsaken, lost, and alone. We need Your warming grace.
And then I looked around again, and there before my eyes, I saw an answer to my prayer and rose in some surprise.
For underneath the rotting leaves, I saw a touch of green. Tulip buds were reaching up just waiting to be seen.
I rubbed my hand across the ground to push away a leaf And found an early lily, a renewal of belief.
For God was saying as He does to all of us who strain, Lift your heart, for I am here, and Spring will come again. "There is nothing in life so difficult that it cannot be overcome. This faith can move mountains. It can change people. It can change the world. You can survive all the great storms in your life." ~Norman Vincent Peale~
