Square Guidelines

Fabric: Aida fabric only - any count, no dark colors

Outside Dimensions: 12" x 12" (approx 30 cmx30 cm)

Inside Dimensions: 9" x 9" (approx 23 cm x 23 cm)

Signing Work: Please sign you work with either your first name or your initials, your state or country and the year.  Please use backstitching, making sure each square is a new stitch.  Do not skip over several squares to make your lettering as it makes it easier for something to catch on it later.  The signing of your work makes it that much more special for the family receiving the quilt when they know where each square came from.  You can also put the child's name on the square.

Care: If you feel comfortable washing and drying your square, please do so.  If not, that's OK too. 

Please attach a note with the square that states "Washed" or "Not Washed", your name, your email address and the child's name.

Any monetary contributions would be helpful - but not necessary - when sending in your square to help cover the cost of assembling the quilt (fabric, batting, etc.).  Checks should be made out to C.O.L.E.'s Quilts, Inc.
